HOW TO CREATE A NEW MINISTRY OR SPECIAL BLOG FOR YOUR PARISH

Our office will set up these blogs for you. These blogs can be ministry blogs, teacher blogs, special parish blogs, priest blogs, worship blogs, etc. The possibilities are endless. But the procedures to set them up are all the same.

To set up a blog or mini-website for your parish, collect the following information and email it to us at cservice@parishworld.net.

1. Title of the Blog.

2. A description that will be displayed about your ministry and the purpose of this blog. You have a 500-word limit on this description.

3. Who will administer this blog? We need his/her name, title, phone # and email address.

4. Who will oversee the articles posted by this administrator? We need his/her name, title, phone # and email. This could be the pastor, office manager or anyone entrusted by the pastor to exhibit good judgment when reviewing entries posted into the blog. All parish blogs can be overseen by one person or several persons. It's up to the discretion of the parish.

5. Who will moderate (approve or reject) comments posted on this blog? We need his/her name, title, phone # and email. We suggest this be the blog administrator.

6. Once we receive this information, we will set up the blog within 24 hours and can start online training when necessary.

7. To access the blog, the designated blog administrator needs to set up a Blogger account. If he or she has a Google account, that should be fine. If he or she does not have a Google account, please follow instructions below.

How to set up a Blogger account.

8. As a final step, the designated blog administrator will receive an email from Blogger - initiated by our office - inviting him or her to join the blog. Please follow the prompts in the email, key in your username and password as needed and complete the invitation. When completed, the blogger dashboard will appear with a list of the blogs approved for this administrator.

9. You are now ready to begin entering articles into the blog.
