Religious Ed. - Working with your book provider (e.g. Sadlier, Harcourt)

If your Religious Ed. program at your parish is using a book series from one of the major book publishers such as Harcourt or Sadlier, then you have at your disposal a treasure trove of educational resources available at their individual websites.

Sadlier, the publisher of We Believe series is a great example. Their website is http://www.webelieveweb.com/. This website covers a lot of materials you can link from your parish web pages. While it's aimed to assist Catechists, many of the information can also be quite educational for parents who wish to be more involved in the faith formation of their children. Study Guides are also available online. You can choose the grade level you're working on and create a link weekly from your religious education pages directly to the specific topic being discussed in class.

Harcourt Books is another Catholic textbook vendor and their website can be found here.

As you can see, the possibilities are quite rich for your Religious Education pages to be more than just mere announcers of events and schedules. With a little bit of thought, they can really be true portals for dynamic evangelization - not just for the students but for parents as well.
