How to create an anchor in your page

What are page anchors? These are locations or markers in your page that you pre-define, then you will be able to jump to it from a link. This is very helpful when you have a very long article with several sections. In the top of the page you can create a link that can jump directly to that part of your page in the latter part of your article that you have previously defined. You can create as many anchors in your page and create separate links to each anchor.

1. In your article, identify the location of the article where you want to create a page anchor. Click your cursor at the exact location of the desired page anchor.

2. Click the ANCHOR icon on the third row of the tool bar. It's located to the right of the green globe URL icon.

3. In ANCHOR PROPERTIES, enter in ANCHOR NAME a name to uniquely identify this article section location. Click OK.

4. IN your article, type or highlight a LINK text or phrase you would like to define as the Jump Text. Example: CLICK HERE TO SEE SECTION 1.

5. Highlight the Jump Text you created.

6. Click the the URL link icon (the green globe) in the tool bar.

7. A window will open with a URL link box. In the LINK TYPE box, choose LINK TO ANCHOR IN THE TEXT.

8. Choose the desired page anchor where you want the Jump Text to go to.

9. Click OK.

5. Continue editing/typing your article. When done, click CONTINUE and save the file. Your links will now be live.
