How to Determine Parish Headlines for the Weekly E-blast

Your parish website emails itself to your email subscriber list every Friday Morning at 5:00 am. This happens without you having to lift a finger. It all happens unattended. All you need to do is make sure you enter your parish articles and the system automatically takes care of itself.

So how does the website system determine what articles are headlined in the weekly Friday e-blasts? This section shows you how.

- Click here to view a sample of this weekly e-blast.

- Your parish's weekly issue (your e-blast) will feature a letter we prepare every week with the 8-10 homilies we prepared for the Sunday Readings plus a summary of all the Catholic news and stories we have included in the global edition of ParishWorld.net. We take care of these articles and these headlines in the weekly issue.

- Your parish's weekly issue will also highlight one article from the following parish sections: Around the Parish, News Bulletin, Pastoral Corner, Youth Life. You take care of these articles and headlines in the weekly issue.

- On Friday at 5 a.m., your website system will look at the articles you have in each of the above parish sections. It will identify the latest article entered in each one of these sections. These are the articles it will include as headlines in the weekly e-blast.

- There's a weekly procedure you need to take on every Thursday afternoon. Identify the parish articles in each section that you wish to be headlined in the e-blast for Friday morning. Then go to http://pwadmin.parishworld.net/ and change the UP-ON DATE of each identified article in each section to Friday, the next day, the day of the scheduled a-blast.
