In our initial discussions with you, the use of ministry blogs or mini-websites have been highlighted as a wonderful opportunity for ministries to be able to share their information, highlights, challenges and opportunities with the rest of the parish family. You will see more of this discussed in detail in Chapter II, Sections 6.0 - Ministries Management.
In this section, we will talk about ideas you can use to get started on this great informational tool that your new website offers. Here's a few ideas we wish you to think about:
- We will build these ministry blogs for you. We will also manage it for the first few months until you get familiar with it and have assigned some people to enter the ministry articles for you.
- In the long run, your individual ministries can take charge of their specific blogs. They do not have to worry about technical knowledge. There's no programming knowledge required to enter and manage articles in the blogs. Anyone can do it.
- As we mentioned in the previous chapter, you need to assign people to manage these blogs for you. You can have one person managing all the blogs. But the best way is to have each ministry leader take care of managing their own blogs. We will teach them how to do it.
