We suggest you also put in some time to process your "static" parish articles weekly. Collect the information, organize them and enter them into the static sections of your website.
What are "static" parish information? These are information - about your parish and the services it offers - that do not change on a regular basis. Schedules, contact information, forms, description of services, description and requirements for Sacraments, etc., are just some of these.
You will find these static information located in the following sections:
PARISH INFO - basic parish info, Mass schedules, contacts, mission, etc.
MINISTRIES - complete list of parish ministries, calendars, contacts, etc.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION - the information and communication center of your Rel. Ed. program
SACRAMENTS - Theological, Catechetical and administrative information on the Sacraments
Here are a few suggestions to processing your static information for the above sections:
- These sections need to be completed at your convenience. You can do these over a period of time as your time and resources permit. It would be best, however, to allot at least an hour or two each week to this process. If done in an organized manner, this should be completed within 2-3 weeks.
- These sections are perpetual works in progress. Don't feel bad if it's not 100% complete. As long as the information is correct, your readers will understand if it does not have all the information they need.
- Please put a "work in progress" or "coming soon" message on the pages that are not populated.
- Try to organize your information into the static sections in the manner you deem best.
- Feel free to create as many jump pages, links, forms, etc. as you need to present your information with clarity. If you don't know what jump pages are, click here.
- And feel free to come back to any previously completed articles and edit/change them as you see fit. Click here to see how to edit/change articles.
